What will we be doing?
Since all of you in this session have been to French Club for a long time, we will do some fun activities to get you to speak French even better!

Day trip to Calais
On mardi 1 juillet 2008, we went to Calais en France to visit deux schools:
Ecole Bossuet et Ecole DelaRoche. Il faisait beau, so we also went down
to la plage to have une glace and a sand castle competition. And guess
what? There was plenty of parking and it was free.
Here are our first photos:

She's got it!
You really know when the whole idea of learning a language has 'gone in' when, sat in the minibus waiting for the train through the Eurotunnel, one of our Year 6's asked 'what is the French for 'to give'?'. I said it is 'donner' - and before I could add anything else she jumped in with 'yes, of course. 'donner' as in 'donation''. We try to teach all about language - the similarities and the differences - and this was a golden moment. She really had got it!
